By knitting an i-cord (like this) or by using a so called Knitting Jenny (is that what you call it?), as we do since I've been a little girl, you can make those looooong cords of wool. The crafting itself is fun, but then what do you do with those pieces?
We use them to make little ornaments for valentine's day, decoration, gift tags or christmas tree ornaments.
To make them we need cords that are between 10 and 30 cm long. I pick up the last four (or six) stitches with a safety pin and slide the cord over a wire, which is then formed to a ring.
Then I sew together the ends with a needle so you can hardly see the edge. (But even if you do, or just make a knot with the two ends of the work, you can always hide it with the ribbon.)
But first we form the heart. And then decorate as desired.
Have fun i-cording!
